Tweakers lives matter. But not to the Colville, Washington police chasing a scared and lonely fugitive accused of shooting at a cop. This is the United States of America. No mother should have to fear for her son every time he takes a shot at a cop. What is this: North Korea. The police had a multitude of easy options available to simply apprehend Richard Lee Hawley, age 47 of Colville. They knew where he lived and had him under surveillance. The cops could have easily arrested him as he left his dwelling. Offered him some mountain dew. But no. They had to let him access a high-speed automobile and THEN let the fun begin.

Poor Richard Lee Hawley is just a scared and lonely tweeker running about seeking a place of refuge. Of course, some sympathetic people may take him in and give him comfort. Some of you bitter-small minded people in Colville may call these people hostages. Whatever. Tweaker lives matter.
